10+ hours in so far and 2 bosses defeated, and I haven't been pestered by the stupid bloodmoons, goblin hordes or any trash like that that happens in many other survival crafting games. Once you feel that you have solid equipment, you're going to want to start hunting for Glurch. Glurch is the first boss; it is a giant slime that is constantly jumping in place. You'll have to explore the area around the Core and listen for a slamming sound.

I'm running through a dark, narrow tunnel just as fast as my little legs will take me. The last time I ran this fast for this long it was because I'd stepped into a chamber coated with slime, heard a deep rumble, and saw a glowing centipede the size of a jumbo jet scrabbling out of the darkness at me. I turned and ran and didn't stop until I'd gotten all the way back to my base.
Now, place the Monster tiles within an enclosed area and dig out the ground around it. You can also build a wall around the Monster tiles, so that the monsters do not run all around.

And there's nothing that makes me feel more at home in a game than fishing, farming, and cooking, and they're all great in Core Keeper. Fishing works almost like a rhythm game, with each fish struggling to its own "beat.
These three Boss fights can be attempted in any order, as soon as each boss is found. They're all pre-spawned at set distances in the world. Players may chose to prepare more by progressing through these first 4 tiers of equipment based on the materials found in the initially accessible biomes.
